Juggle multiple ideas or focus on one?

Hey IH, I have a question for us:

Which do you tend to lean towards? Juggling multiple ideas and projects or focusing on one? What are your pros and cons?

I think it depends what motivates you. Do you enjoy building for building's sake. Or do you view it more of a means to an ends? If you genuinely enjoy it for its own sake, there's no harm in doing lots of things.

In my past I've gone from project to project and never finished a single one. So while I enjoy the act of coding, going longer and longer without shipping eventually took the fun out of it.

Now I'm focusing on doing one thing, but making sure that I'm wearing all hats - dev, marketing, sales, etc. So I'm still switching it up and not getting bored or burnt out (hopefully), but it's all progressing towards a singular goal.

Interesting! I love the concept of motivation being a foundational factor. Also, fascinating that you've turned from multiple projects to multiple hats (singular project), sounds like that's a good way to scratch the curiosity itch!
