Junior front-end developer looking to contribute to cool projects (for free)

After seven months of working-hard weekends and afternoons, I can say that I’m a front-end developer now! I’ve learned to build a fully responsive web from scratch, fetching data from an API.

Although I work full-time as Head of Marketing & Communications at a SaaS company, I'm looking to improve my newly coding knowledge by helping you with your project. For Free.

Ping me if you need help with JavaScript, HTML or CSS.

Next stop: #React. I'm studying at an online BootCamp called Practicum (https://practicum.com)

We can try to use your skills and help us to build react design system.

right now I'm building a generator for email templates and want to switch from plain HTML into React - tell me if you are interested.

I already started to polish our code and collecting my notes @ our documentation website

      Hi Arthur,
Thanks! But I'm about to start learning React next week. For now just HTML, CSS and JS. Maybe we can talk in a month.

Ahh, I see, working through the curriculum https://drive.google.com/file/d/1epzEvZjX5fuEUpMwCYAho81gTJ9jtWM3/view keep at it!

In addition to that curriculum, I would recommend learning TypeScript, NextJS, and TailwindCSS.

You always so kind and helpful. 💪💪

Yes! Practicum is great. Thanks for the recommendations. TypeScript was in my list.
Step by step. First React, then some backend knowledge and after that the rest.
I'd like to start collaborating with real projects asap

Hey! I recently open-sourced https://copy-paste-css.com/ a site to copy simple CSS elements from other sites

You can make a pull request if you want to try to reproduce a button you like from another site! Maybe it can help you practice

Hi Miguel! Are you interested in building a desktop app while also a Chrome extension? I have been recently working on a GitHub Trending client with a truly simple user interface.

It's also based on React so if you are interested, please DM.

    Check it out here: https://github.com/meetyan/raise.

You might have a look at payloadcms
    https://github.com/payloadcms/payload
it is a FOSS headless-cms with almost everything you need out of the box. It is still early stage with a big, active and supportive community. The Admin dashboard is written in React and there are tons of smaller things to improve to get started :)
Join the linked discord too, if you want to get in touch directly with the community and developers, I have not seen a more welcoming community yet .

I think you should definitely check out the open source community. There's loads of different projects to get started with and it can help you learn a lot. You'll have pre-exisiting code to check and learn from, and your own changes/suggestions will be critiqued which can help you further improve your own abilities and understanding.
    Good luck.

    That's amazing.
I've been building product for 22 years, and I don't call myself a front-end developer or a back-end developer, because I don't yet perceive myself as a master.

I am however looking for marketers and promoters, so if you feel like you're up for the job, hit me up.

you can develop admin frontend for https://github.com/newbeelearn/sserver . Its a headless server so it provides api's to do everything you will need to make frontend so that non developers can use it. Sample frontend that is used for testing is here https://github.com/newbeelearn/tailwind-dashboard-windster (its buggy and is badly coded so don't learn from it).
