Just added a Launch demo button to my landing page

I've recently added a Launch demo button to my landing page in an attempt to give users the ability to play around in the app before signing up.

I am trying to work out if this is correct usage of a CTA. Also wondering how the copy reads.

Looks like a neat idea. My suggestions:

    • I didn't notice that the illustration was animated until I scrolled back up the page. You could consider speeding up the animation a bit.
    • One line headers work better in the How-it-works section. So "Central Commit Tracking" could perhaps work?
    • Agreed with the others about putting screenshots of real data. Currently, they might come off as placeholder images.
      Good luck!

Cool idea! And the landing page has a cool look and also a cool theme to it. I like it.
Regarding the CTA and the hierarchy: I'd suggest you keep the "Launch Demo" Button in two places. First in the top bar on the left side of the Sign Up Button and then also in the hero image. Therefore I'd put the get started with github and bitbucket buttons further up and directly below the text. Below that place the "Launch Demo" Button as a text button (same goes for the top bar one).
So your main CTA is the Sign Up / respectively the get started buttons and the secondary action is the demo. This is why I would choose a text style button for the latter.

Nice idea, looking at the landing page it was quite difficult to tell what was actually happening but the demo definitely helps! I would suggest putting screenshots of the demo on the home page (or even a video) but perhaps it would be better to fill with more realistic data first instead of dummy data
