Just finished my fixed-price design service landing page. Any feedback?

Hey,

so this is version 3 of the value proposition and the copy based on previous feedback.

What questions or objections come up for you when you scan it?

Looks good-I was a little confused about what you did just by reading the 'above the fold' text. What about adding another sentence in your H2, saying something like, "A design expert will provide 1:1 design services over a 2 week span to help you bring your product to life"

I second this. I had to scroll all the way down to the pricing to understand what I was buying. Even then your action word is "collaborate" , "choose a direction", "Follow the progress" - those are nice benefits. But I would lay it out in plain english above the fold. "Hire seasoned designers at a fixed rate". some of your benefits are

      • structured design process
      • deliverables in 2 weeks - there might be some catchy copy you could write here like "cut your design time in half" or "from idea to deliverable in 2 weeks"

good point, I'll try to work that in!

I understand where you coming from.

And you are right, it seems like you are not in my target audience.

But just for the sake of it let me try and address your concern – "what if time runs out and I don't have the problem solved?"

First, we have a call to see if we are a good fit.
My goal for this call is to outline the scope and set expectations for what could be achieved in a single 2-week intensive.
I will not take on anyone who has unrealistic expectations.

2-week sprints are a proven approach for shipping meaningful solutions in the development and design communities. See Agile and Design Sprints.

The other thing you made me think of is...

Have you had a previous unpleasant experience working with a designer that made you sceptical towards offers like mine?
It happened sometimes in my experience, and this makes you distrust designers in general. And that's unfortunate.

Lastly, since it's a new offer and I'm confident that I can deliver I do provide with 100% money-back guarantee at any point in the process.

Thanks, again for sharing. This was super insightful.
I might add a FAQs section answering questions about the process.

On my day job I am actually hiring a UX designer right now, but never hired anybody for a fixed price that is more of a business decision rather than hiring. So I am not exactly your target audience most probably.

Fixed pricing always feels a bit fearful to me as a client (like what if time runs out and I don't have the problem solved, how do I explain it to a boss or even to myself), so:

    • It would be great to have more examples from your past clients of what exactly one might get and how much of that was agreed in advance. E.g. something like I've got just this rough idea statement, here's first iteration, then 2 hours long discussion and here's 2nd iteration and here are final deliverables"
    • It would be comforting to see some client's comments in style of "Vasil did beyond what's agreed" or "The project was done, but Vasil went an extra mile adding some polishing for free to have the project fully wrapped up". That is assuming you do something like this
    • Or maybe "before taking the project we have an evaluation of what exactly can be done for sure and it gets fully done"

Fellow productized service owner here! 👋🏽

Site looks really good, here are 3 things i'd recommend changing.

    1. I'd add eyebrow text above your H1 to solidify what you are - "productized product design" to clear up any confusion on what you do.

    2. If you can, create a gif of the process from "napkin sketch -> design in figma -> moving product prototype in Figma". Add in graphics of time savings/money savings as counters as part of the animation. You can use the CreativeFlow plugin to animate a design in Figma. (full disclosure, a friend of mine built that plugin) That would be a quick way to show the value and your differentiators above the fold.

    3. add more space between the sections. on my desktop it doesn't feel like there's quite enough white space between them.

Great site and good luck! Productized services are the future!

      Thank you, Sophia!

I'll definitely do 1 and 3 in some form.

For 2 I'll wait for now. Animation could be really time-consuming. I like to validate the value prop before investing more time.

        Sure! Good luck man!

    Hey,

just wanna say... THANK YOU ALL!

    This was super productive.

    The version is up!

    Hi Vasil,
Absolutely love the design and visual aesthetic of your site, it looks fantastic! I would definitely see myself being converted with this landing page. Great copy throughout, too!

Some feedback I have would be to include social proof of some sort, such as a testimonial from a previous customer or a snippet of a review. Or you could include a statistic of some sort, such as the number of previous customers who you worked with in the past, etc. This would help boost conversions even more.
Even better, if you could include it in the hero section so that users see it as soon as they land on your page, that would help greatly too.

Overall, excellent page, really love the amazing design and copy 🤩

    1. 1

yep, I'm waiting on some approvals for the social proof.

Thank you for the good words!

    All great points @vintually!
I really appreciate your taking the time.

      No prob! 😊

The hero title is interesting but doesn't hardcore sell me (it's a little broad in terms of value that could be provided). Also same with the hero paragraph. You explain who you serve but don't really hook them as to how you do it uniquely or the emotional outcome for the customer.

I recommend adding social proof immediately after the hero if possible because you're going to want to build a lot of trust fast.

You list how we can work together but not the emotional benefits or outcomes (as an example I think saying "Bring you product idea to life" as the 1 title could be stronger)

The 1on1 design collaboration section text-wise hit's hard, but I think adding a picture of a person could help provoke more emotion.

For your project work I think you should make the outcomes more bold and bigger (helping an app get 1M+ downloads is very impressive but visually it's hard to tell it's impressive)

The language around the guarantee is a little off and a founder might be a little suspicious of how the language is positioned (You can ask for your money back isn't as specific as something like get 100% of your money back in week 1, and 50% of you money back in week two)

    Hope this helps!
