Just found out Bubble.io exists. WHAT?!?!?
I think this is all I need! Literally just heard of it after a year of trying to figure out the cheapest way to build a marketplace. Looking for general feedback and also trying to figure out before I commit $$ whether I can build a 2-sided service booking marketplace with it. Any advice?

Bubble is super slow. For a marketplace sharetribe is a great choice
I looked into ShareTribe. I did not like their service marketplace template. I would have had to pay a bunch to customize it.
Someone else told me Bubble was slow, too. Not sure what to do!
There are Wordpress templates that might be a good option. I find bubble so slow as to be pretty much unuseable
Bubble is working on speed as we speak. I use it and you can add more horse power as needed. Also the way you build makes a huge difference in speed as well. Bubble also recently put cloudflare in as well. Bubble is awesome and I believe the most powerful no-code tool out there.

I need a therapist directory like this: therapyden.com. I'm on nocodehq.com but there's no way to search. And now a few people have told me Bubble is really slow and I shouldn't use it. I signed up for ShareTribe Flex but it turns out to be yes-code :(
I've only had positive experiences with Bubble. All the apps I have built have been really fast and smooth! Bubble itself is fast, however you can make your application really slow by adding too many workflows /unnecessary data searches etc.

You'd obviously have to make some changes, but overall the templates should work for your use case.
We also have a very simple free tutorial that gives you an introduction into a building a directory using Bubble. Might be a good starting point!

I'm currently looking for a platform to operate a marketplace and would appreciate finding out if you found something you were happy for or whether a particular platform you tried did not work out.
I didn't get too far with it before I found a CTO who is a software engineer. I am relieved I didn't have to learn Bubble. Keep looking for a tech co-founder, is my advice!!! Otherwise, try Sharetribe.

No, I found a co-founder who could make it from scratch. I could not learn bubble. Maybe if I was younger without kids I could have really had the time to tackle it.

I think you're making a good call. Bubble recently announced an integration with cloudfare (I think) that should speed things up, but they also have funding, and I'd guess improving speed is a priority for them.
The platform itself is amazing and probably exactly what you're looking for. I'd also suggest Boundless as an alternative, but since you found a close template on Bubble, that seems like the way to go!

I recently built an entire social platform using Bubble. I was able to create user accounts, comments, notifications, and more.
As mentioned in the previous comments, the speed of the tool is the only thing to be cautious of.
As my platform hosts user-generated content, it's recently grown to be quite cumbersome.
