Just got my first users ever... and wow!

It's not much, but it's something I've never had.

Just some background, I made an app to solve a problem I had, which was taking long showers. My solution was to build an "interval timer" for the shower.

Worked pretty well for me, so decided to release it to the world. Just quickly posted the app to reddit (r/androidapp and r/sideproject) and got pretty good attention & reception.

Hopefully this is an ode for the future, and hopefully this short story helps someone who's non-stop polishing their app without showing it to the world (trust me, that's me).

Here's the app, in case you have a similar problem or are interested:

That's great. Congratulations! I wish you the best. I would also recommend using twitter and your network to get more users. You can also use other forums other than Reddit. In the beginning, you are going to do a lot of things that do not scale. That's ok because the product is not ready yet. You need to get as much feedback as possible to make it better.

      Thanks for the advice!

I remember the "first user" feeling when I started working on inspectflow.io. I also built this tool to solve my own problems at first, then found that other Tailwind CSS developers were facing similar problems!

Cool idea, how'd you get the word out?

mainly through twitter, indiehackers, and sponsor inga tailwind css newsletter (:

If you want a spin off idea, it's for the reverse. For those that do good thinking in the shower but can't write notes down have a 'active listening' mode so you can shout words at it to have notes taken down and logged.

Really interesting idea. Kinda wish I could clone myself b/c I am bogged with so many ideas haha.

Nice Idea. I will give it a try even though I like standing under the shower for hours and absolutely no reason.

Hey that's a pretty good idea. Yeah, I had to somewhat force myself last night, it's not a natural inclination.
