Just Landed My First Newsletter Sponsor!

I've posted a couple of times here about the journey I've had building my side project newsletter - TrendingUP
And today is an exciting day - I've landed my first paying Newsletter sponsor 🥳
Building this newsletter up to be a source of good income is a dream and while there's a ways to go to call the income good, getting my first paying sponsor over the line is something I am proud of and will celebrate.
I'm happy to answer any questions about how I built the newsletter, the stage it's at, how I landed the sponsor and anything relating to that so, if you have anything to ask, please do below.

Congrats! I'd love to hear more about how you found the sponsor and what information they wanted from you before they felt comfortable sponsoring. I'm just starting a new mailing list - http://indie.watch/ - and I'm not sure what my open rate and mailing list size should be before I start reaching out to sponsors. - would appreciate your two cents.
Hey sorry for the delayed response!
We already had contact with some of the businesses we really wanted to include in the newsletter, so that helped (I guess the takeaway here would be network, connect and build relationships with companies you would love to work with well in advance of asking to work with them).
Information they wanted was list size, open rate and CTR (the latter was discussed as being impossible to give as we've never linked out of the newsletter prior to the sponsorship.) They were ok with it.
As for your question on list size and open rate, the higher the better of course. However, the more niche your community, the less subscribers you need as it's super focused.
That's a really crappy answer but if I tell you that we didn't approach anyone until we just about reached 1000 subcribers, that might help?
