Just launched a new startup - Graphic Foundry!

Graphic Foundry | Showcase your music beautifully

Hey folks,

Been a long-time Indie Hackers lurker, but promised myself I would only show face when I finally launched something new to the startup world! :)

To give you a little background, I'm a PHP developer who loves building businesses, WordPress plugins/themes, side projects and producing music. I've been launching digital businesses since early 2010, and most people know me best as the guy behind the popular sound ware brand Freshly Squeezed Samples (selling samples, presets, templates, etc).

Just today I launched my new startup called Graphic Foundry, and felt it was time to post on the forum. Graphic Foundry features modern Adobe After Effects audio reactive music visualizers to help independent artists, record labels and alike to promote music on YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram and Facebook.

Deep down, I've always been a bit of a "tool maker" and wanted to build a site where independent artists could find the professional promotional assets to help them market themselves online without having a huge budget or being controlled by a record label. Since the world is moving more and more towards video marketing and YouTube is pretty much where everyone listens (or discovers) new music, it made sense to focus on providing quality visual content that can be easily moulded to your brand, and thus the idea was born.

I'm going to update this thread with how things are going business wise and what I am doing to promote and launch the site! So far I have only done some social media posts and Product Hunt, but more will come tomorrow!

One of the key things I did while building this business was build a 'framework' (stack?) of a custom theme and plugins that will allow me to roll out different sites quickly and test new markets.

At the minute I am toying with the idea of launching one startup a month to see which ones stick the most - have a lot of ideas for different sites i want to launch, so might be worth documenting this online.
