Just Launched: AI Button - GPT Voice Assistant Hardware
Hey there,
I've built a hardware device running on an ESP32, including a mic, battery, and speaker, that connects to a custom-built native Expo app on your phone.
By pushing the button, you can talk to OpenAI's GPT-4o and receive answers.
The case design is inspired by the 4th gen iPod Shuffle.
I'm currently working on the first commercial version of it.

Hi.! Really cool project. I come from one of those “boring” industries - real estate development and manufacturing, but this kind of simple, portable tool could be useful there.
I can imagine your device being used on production sites: integrated with internal systems, it could deliver real-time updates, pull up instructions, or let workers dictate progress reports, all hands-free and without interrupting their workflow.

Thats an interesting use case — Ive actually been thinking along similar lines. With a camera and some integration into internal workflows, it could definitely help deliver real-time updates, pull up instructions, or let workers dictate progress reports completely hands-free.
