Just launched, downloads are tough

I launched my first app Phobaxx a few days ago and underestimated how hard it is to get downloads. I spent months building a simpler way for creators to get paid for their content, but now the real challenge is getting people to try it. If you’ve been here before, what helped you get your first users?

    I totally underestimated it

Promoting an app feels as difficult as developing it

Spent the whole day on a Meta marathon, what a ride. Finally got our socials linked to the app and set up real promotions aimed at targeted demographics. Up until now, I’d just been boosting posts with little to show for it, but today I dove deep into proper marketing. Now let’s see what happens.

Though its good app some of the features required by daily users are missing would be advantages if u can add them

Thanks for the feedback! Curious, what type of features do you think daily users would want to see? I’d love to explore adding them in future updates

Both really, but right now I’m focusing more on indie creators

Congrats on launching! Is Phobaxx aimed more at indie creators or bigger content teams? Knowing that will help you figure out where to focus early outreach.

It’s nice that you build the actual product and started generating some sort of revenue out of it but the most important thing is while doing so didn’t you think about the marketing of the app? You know currently I’m building Adewin an advertisement intelligent platform for SMBs while making the MVP with free resources. My major focus was more about the experience and how I can have a strong potential user base who are anticipating for the platform before it’s build, so I’m trying to build a personal brand around twitter, LinkedIn and other platforms which will not only attract users but investors, great talented team members too. Last advice keep it secret give your platform a basic simple name can be abstract or related to your domain and try to build a strong brand organically so when someone types your name on google your SEO is already done first result will show your product.

In my case, a warning appears that says:

Your access to this site has been limited by the site owner.
Your access to this service has been limited. (HTTP response code 503)
