Hey everyone! I’m a student in Italy and I just built GhostIn.
It’s an AI-powered tool that uses Google Dorking to find LinkedIn profiles without paying for Premium. I saw people struggling with search limits and decided to automate the solution.
Yesterday I got my first 50+ page views from Reddit and it feels amazing. I’m looking for any feedback on the tool or my UI.
Check it out: ghostin.org
Nice idea :) I wonder from a legal point of view if you really have the right to advertise getting linkedIn data without following their approved path way. From a pricing point of view, the question I have around the business model is more, would people pay for this tool instead of paying for linkedin premium (or even log in linkedin)?
Thanks for the feedback! Great questions
On the legal side: GhostIn doesn't actually scrape or access LinkedIn’s private database. It’s essentially a "Dorking-as-a-Service". It uses Google's public search index to find publicly available profiles. Since we don't bypass any technical barriers on LinkedIn’s site and don't require user accounts, it stays within the OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) boundaries
On pricing: You're right, it's a challenge. But LinkedIn Premium is $60–$150/mo. Many solo recruiters, startup founders, or students don't need all the features — they just need to find people. GhostIn is for those who want a lightweight, pay-as-you-go or free alternative for quick sourcing without the corporate overhead
