Just launched in Product Hunt and ranked 14th. Here are some findings
Hello fellow hackers.
Today, I launched my product in PH.
My product ranked 14th at its highest and now it's around 20th.
Below are a few findings and thoughts.

Make sure to schedule your launch at 12:01am
Unlike BetaList or Microlaunch where you don't know when your product will be scheduled to showcase, PH give you an option to either 'launch now' or schedule at specific time on date of your preference(i.e. 8/6 12:01am).
I recommend you launch at 12:01am to enjoy full 24 hours of opportunity window. -
Do your job before the show begins
For first 4 hours, vote count will be hided so that all products launching on the day get equal opportunity in the beginning.
After 4 hours, the products will be listed in order of vote count. If your product is too far away in the bottom at this time, it's gonna be a hard fight. Utilize all your network to collect votes from 12:01am to 4:00am before the show begins. -
Engage with people leaving you comments. Ask for feedback.
Although this is too obvious, you will be 3 times busy on PH launching date as you want to brush up your MVP on a show date, so be aware of checking in often on PH notifications and launch dashboard(where you can see stats on your PH launch). While people leaving you a comment will cheer you up most of the time, some people will challenge your business idea. Don't be overly defensive to them. Rather, take it as an opportunity to employ devil's advocate. Ask them gently about the reasoning behind their counter-thesis and ask for feedback if you think it's valid at least partially.

I like the concept of your platform, but I feel like your sign up and onboarding need much improvement.
Make sure to UX test it with 3-5 people who are not familiar with your app/idea. Right now, there is too much friction (users are asked to provide too much info and fill out too many input fields).

Congratulations on launching your product. These are helpful tips. But I'm curios, you said to launch at 12:01 AM, what time zone would that be?
I think it was PDT, California time zone, but you need to doublecheck. Btw, if you submit your product, then they show you remaining hours in DD:HH:MM format so you won't miss it :)
