😍😍
I would have thought you'd ask more questions to people signing up, such as interests, job role(s), company. This gives me the impression you'd be sourcing people from 'Google, Facebook, Apple, Y Combinator' another way.
To me this feels like a strange disconnect, it should just be the community that sign up and the community could have worked anywhere. In practice this just makes it sounds like some aspiring juniors bugging people from big tech companies while they try play games. There's so much value in just playing games with people in your industry, no need to put certain people on a pedestal.
Great feedback!
We will change our copy so it doesn't sound like we're sourcing people from 'Google, Facebook, Apple, Y Combinator'.
Since we're in private beta and we want to keep the sign up short but we do ask more questions about location, interests, objective, and your profile when we onboard you to our platform.
Seems fire!
I would also make it a bit clearer as to how you are connected to the "professionals" and what happens after that (are you sent a game invite?)
Also, out of curiosity, how do you plan on making money?
i'm #147 - love the idea!
We will onboard you soon! :)
Love the idea! Not sure how it would work yet, is it a communication interface? Nevertheless I have some people that would geek out on this!
Every week, you would sign up for a meeting then we'll email you with details on your match and a calendar invite with meeting info including a link to discord private channel.
Don't know how well this will work, but I really like the idea in theory!
This is really cool. But really want to see what's the pricing model moving forward. And recently I only play minecraft.. so not sure if that's in the list.
Really great, focused landing page. Really interesting product, I think it sounds like a great idea.
Curious what the business model will be?
Fantastic idea, I would say this is really making lemonade out of covid, as people want to level up their careers and they are probably spending more time indoors anyway, and can't make it real life meetups.
The landing page is very convincing. I'd almost sign up, except not being in the USA (and will probably never move there) I'd get less out of the "FAANG" / YC connections. Also I hate games, but honestly I'd learn to like them for an opportunity like this!
Cool idea, but what happens after you meet folks?
We currently help with setting up the first meeting only. After the meeting, It is up to you if you want to keep connect or not. It can be thru email or Linkedin.
What games do you support?
We're still in private beta so we have a limited list of games. Here is a list of games we support currently: Fortnite, COD Warzone, League of Legends, and Fall Guys. More games will be supported once we onboard more people.
Cool idea and sleek design; making me think I should start gaming :)
The question I'm coming away with from the landing page is about scheduling. When you say you'll email me a calendar invite, do I just make it work, or do you have/plan on having a scheduling feature? If you can assure people in a concise way that they won't have to worry about the timing aspect, I'd be more convinced. Then again, you don't want to make your landing page overly verbose by explaining every facet - I'm working through the same dilemma myself!
People are also drawn to logos. It might be hard to fit them into such a minimalist and sleek design, but when you're dropping big names of tech companies and of games people love, it's a great opportunity to keep people's eyeball's on the page. It might save you some text too instead of having to list out companies and games.
