Hey Indie Hackers π
After going through a failed startup and losing quite a bit of money, I decided to shift gears and focus on building small, useful APIs people can plug into their projects β and hopefully earn something sustainable.
Today, I launched my first public API on RapidAPI:
π Visa-Free Travel & Entry Rules API
It returns structured data on:
Visa-free access
eVisa and Visa-on-arrival countries
Total count of visa-free destinations
Works for any passport country code (like IN, US, etc.)
Use Cases:
Travel apps showing where a user can travel
Expat dashboards
Visa assistance platforms
Digital nomad planning tools
β
Fully deployed
β
Live and searchable on RapidAPI
β
Free tier for devs to try out
β
Hosted on MongoDB Atlas + Node.js
π¬ Iβd love feedback on:
My RapidAPI listing β does it explain the value well?
Pricing β is $5 for 2000 requests/month reasonable for small apps?
Any features you think would make this API more useful?
Hereβs the API listing (would be thrilled if you tried it!):

Thanks IH β never thought Iβd be back here after failing hard, but Iβve learned that building in the open (and asking for help) is the best way forward.
Congrats on the launch π
One thing thatβs worked well for early traction is a simple 20β30 sec demo video that shows the core value quickly. Founders often underestimate how effective that can be.
