Hey everyone đź‘‹
I’m Dudley, a solo dev building a macOS menubar app called Chunk. It’s a time block planner for people who want to see their day laid out clearly and actually stick to their schedule.
It’s aimed at folks with ADHD, professionals, freelancers, students, and anyone who needs help focusing. You create task blocks for the day, and it shows a live countdown in the menu bar. It syncs with Google, Apple, and Outlook calendars, supports routines/templates, and gives fullscreen notifications when it’s time to switch tasks.
I launched two weeks ago and so far:
âś… 140 downloads
đź’° First $200 in sales
🚀 One person already called it “a game changer” which made my week
Built with Tauri/Rust + React. I overcame many hurdles to get to where it is today. Lets just say Rust hasn't come easy to me. Its fortunate Tauri is a well documented framework.
I’m currently:
Working on making the UI slightly more native, although nothing major as the current UI has had great feedback.
Figuring out my SEO + keyword strategy now that I’ve got a basic landing page live
Would love to hear from anyone else building productivity tools or using Tauri. And if you’ve done solo launches, what helped you go from first 100 users to 1,000?
Here’s the site if you’re curious: Chunk
And happy to answer any questions if you’re curious about the build or launch process!
