Been on and off for a few months, but made a deal with my friend that we'd each finish & launch our first SaaS by end of August, so here I am on the 31st.
I grew up in a Punjabi immigrant family and always watched my parents struggle to get access to basic services since they were not fluent in English. They would often have to jump through multiple hoops to have someone translate during medical, legal, or government agency visits (i.e. DMV) . This is a pretty common issue in several immigrant groups, and I figured I can read and write the language just well enough to draft a partially-Punjabi website.
The idea is to provide a platform for Punjabi-speakers to find healthcare, legal, real estate, insurance, and other services from business owners who either speak Punjab or have Punjabi-speaking employees. Business owners in turn gain an affordable, central hub where they can create an account in seconds to advertise and promote their services to the local community, offering an easy way for Punjabis everywhere to find them. This is especially important for small businesses who don't have the budgets to advertise on TV or other platforms.
Trickiest part is that most of the value of this service comes from having a lot of existing business users. Thus, still trying to figure out an optimal marketing strategy.
