🎉 Just launched snoopForms — open-source Typeform alternative

Hey fellow founders 👋,

We just launched the beta version of snoopForms - spin up forms in minutes. Pipe your data exactly where you need it. Maximize your results with juicy analytics.

😵 The Problem — Forms are everywhere on the web, but they are hard to do right. Especially in larger corporations where submission data of employee and customer forms needs to get piped in different databases and systems and maintenance should be kept low including enabling non-technical team mates (like marketing or product teams) to contribute in the form creation process. Because of these and additional challenges like compliance with privacy regulations, companies and tech teams often cook up their own solutions which cost a lot of time and money.

👍 Our Solution — We are building the last form tool you need. Modular, versatile and open-source.

  • Build forms using our No-Code Editor or easy-to-use React-Library to integrate forms deeply into your products
  • Built-in analytics, validation and pagination with state management to build multi-page-forms easily
  • Receive submissions from both coded and no-coded forms in one dashboard
  • Forward the data to where it's needed on a granular level (via webhook or many pre-built service-integrations)
  • self-host for free or use our hosted cloud version with a generous free plan

💁‍♂️ Our ask — Ready for the next generation of forms? Go to snoopforms.com and get started building your first form using the No-Code-editor or check out our docs on the React library at docs.snoopforms.com

Very curious what you guys think, please provide some feedback in the comments below 😊

thank you!! 🤗

Congrats on this! Looks epic guys. Will definitely be using this when my site goes live.

Particularly a fan of the design of your website.

Mind me asking what platform you used to create this, and where you found your designer?

I’d struggle to ever recreate something like myself so always interested to know how people like yourself achieve this level of finish.

@LeezoMazimba thank you 😊 My cofounder @Johannes_D built the website. It's built using Next.JS, React, TailwindCSS/TailwindUI and a lot of custom colors, and creativity 😉
But if you are a dev, using TailwindUI is always a good start for building the next website in my eyes 😊

      1. 1

        Thanks! Appreciate this info.

    2. 1

happy you like it! Let me know if you'd like some feedback on your drafts :)

      1. 1

That would be great when it’s finally live. Thanks!

  2. 3

@matthiasnannt - SOOOOO cool. I create an account to play around a little.
I love how easy it is to add / make updates to the questions & placeholders.

Do you have "branching questions" on your roadmap?
That would be a deal clincher for me.

Also, when I first entered into the empty state - it was really empty. I kept trying to go back to a home page before i attempted a form. (habit)

    Well done!

    1. 2

@PAIRUXnadia so glad you like it 😊
We definitely have branching on the roadmap. I think it will come first to the react lib and then also to the no-code editor 😊

Do you mean after you signed up that the page was empty/white?

      1. 2

Muah ha ha!!! That’s gonna be dope. You should consider pitching that directly to researchers because qualitrics is crazy expensive and they need a good survey tool.

Yeah - The landing page was a subpage of - I could see the house in the breadcrumbs but couldn’t go back to it. So I was like “ok! Here I am, I guess!” And then started playing :)

  3. 2

Seems awesome! Congrats. The website design is cool :D

  4. 2

    Love the landing page

  5. 2

Like your product and how it helps to save time and money! I recently helped a similar project get paying users in 90 days. Can help you with sales and market positioning, just DM me on Twitter :)

  6. 2

as a typeform user, the real problem is it's too expensive

  7. 2

Looks nice. Congrats on the launch 👏

  8. 2

This is looking good! Congratulations on your app!
I would like to feature your tool in our website www.NoCodeJournal.com.

Please reach me out at [email protected] for deets!

    1. 1

hey sheilla, I sent you a message - thanks for your interest!

  9. 2

    Welcome to the space!

    1. 2

@fabform thanks 🤗 great space to be in 😊

  10. 2

    Looking good mate. Congrates

  11. 2

    Congratulations on the launch!

      1. 2

Who did your design? I love it!

        1. 2

My cofounder @Johannes_D did 😊 So glad you like it! 😊

          1. 1

Can he be my co-founder? 😂

  12. 2

    That looks great, congratulations!

  13. 2

Looks amazing! I've been looking for an alternative for a year. The main thing is self-hosting and vue integration in webflow or other no-code frontend platforms.

Any chance to see integration with zapier or make in near future?

    1. 2

@iarromanov 😊 so glad that we are building what you are looking for 😊 Zapier integration is at the top of the feature-list we implement within the next months 💪

    2. 2

Found inside after sign up. Webhooks and Airtable — awesome!

  14. 2

I geek out on form software and this looks awesome! I really like that it has both code and no-code options.

I'd love to see some sample forms linked off the homepage to get a sense of what it can build and variety out of the box. Just helps me visualise using it.

    1. 3

@catr thank you for the feedback 😊 Yes, great idea! We will build some showcase examples 💪

    2. 1

would love to have a chat with you about your understanding of form tools :) I couldn't find any contact details, if you're up for a chat please send an email to [email protected] @catr

  15. 2

Website looks fantastic. Very clean interface for the form design. Im not one for the Typeform experience (like to have 1 page forms and multiple columns) but if I was I can your tool being awesome. Pricing is great.

    1. 2

@Netbuddy thank you! yes, we also love the freedom to build forms the way you like or need it for the current project. In the No-Code editor you can currently only have multiple pages with as many elements per page as you like, but only in one column (in the react lib you can of course do whatever you like). But we will bringt multi-column support in the No-Code editor later this year 😊

  16. 2

really like the branding/illustrations - really stands out from a lot of other developer-targeted tools out there :)

    1. 2

@jink_musing thank you, branding is the great work of my cofounder @Johannes_D 😊

  17. 2

Great looking site and feat UI + love the mascot!
Hope you get some subscribers! Will bookmark this for later when my startup is launching!

  18. 2

I like your design, and I LOVE your pricing. I wish more online services would offer one-time payment.

  19. 2

Checking it out... Love the "live in peace" task.

  20. 2

    Nicely done! Looks super polished.

Curious about your financials, the one time fee + open source aspect of it. Do you plan to make money from this, or to just keep it afloat?

    1. 2

@aabreu thanks 🤗 We love the open-source and the benefits and freedom for entrepreneurs & companies when using open-source software.
We want to build the best product possible and of course we need money to be able to do that in the long-term, so we are planning to have a commercial cloud plan to earn money with the product.
At the moment the free Open-Source version and Cloud version is the same but in the future we may have additional enterprise-focused features that are only available with the cloud plan or as a paid add-on for self-hosting.

  21. 2

The product looks pretty sweet! 🎉

The marketing site is looking great too.

Bookmarked this for the next time I need anything like this!

    1. 2

      thanks @adxmcollins 😊
we will work hard to have even greater features until then 💪💪

  22. 2

Looks great. We’d love to use something beautiful.

Nit: It’ll be better to show a video/gif in the “no code builder” section.

    1. 2

@formaltree thanks for the feedback 😊 Do you mean a no-code-builder video on the landingpage? On top of the page we have a video showing the no-code builder. Didn't that work for you?

      1. 2

Ah, it do shows an image of the no-code builder. Seems the video doesn’t play on the iOS 15.5 browser.

  23. 2

Just checked website and it seems good.

  24. 1
