That’s not our actual tagline. But maybe it should be?
So we spotted a problem in the course industry.
—> most courses suck.
And that’s a quality control problem.
The most popular courses aren’t necessarily the ones that provide the best content. They’re just the ones with the best marketing team.
This means course creators with great content aren’t able to get in front of the right audiences, and course takers get duped by misleading marketing. (seriously our team has lost $20k)
So we built Terrain (www.knowtheterrain.io)
Terrain tackles the problem from both ends: we find, vet and market the best courses in the industry; and put all of the courses in a central location (aka Terrain) so course takers can see reviews, compare options and make informed decisions.
With Terrain, everyone’s business grows— course creators make more sales, and course takers find better courses to uplevel their skills.
If you’re a course creator the only barrier to entry to getting on Terrain is the quality of your work. We charge you $0 upfront, and do your email marketing and run ads. We take 25% of revenue (not profit!) so we really only make money if you make money.
Let me know what you guys think!
