Just launched WiQRCode - A privacy-first Wi-Fi QR generator that actually works on iPhones

Hey IndieHackers! πŸ‘‹

After getting frustrated one too many times spelling out my 16-character Wi-Fi password to guests, I decided to build something better. Today, I'm excited to share WiQRCode.com - a free Wi-Fi QR code generator that prioritizes privacy and actually works seamlessly across all devices.

What makes this different?

πŸ” Privacy-first approach: Everything happens in your browser. Your WiFi credentials never touch my servers - because honestly, would you want some random website storing your home network password?

πŸ“± Universal compatibility: Works flawlessly with iPhone (iOS 11+), Android, and all modern devices. No more "sorry, iPhone users need a special app" situations.

⚑ Bulk generation: Upload a CSV and generate hundreds of QR codes at once. Perfect for businesses, events, or that friend who has 5 different networks.

🎨 Customization without the bloat: Choose colors and sizes that match your brand, but skip the unnecessary bells and whistles that slow things down.

The simple problem that needed solving
We've all been there - guests arrive, they ask for Wi-Fi, and you either:

Spell out "MySecurePassword123!" letter by letter
Text them the password (now it's in their messages forever)
Have them type some impossible string while you hover over their shoulder

QR codes solve this instantly, but most generators either don't work on iPhones, store your data, or are buried in feature bloat.

Building in the open
This started as a weekend project but turned into something I'm genuinely proud of. The tech stack is intentionally simple:

Vanilla JavaScript for the QR generation (keeping it fast)
Local processing only (keeping it private)
Clean, responsive design (keeping it usable)

No framework bloat, no unnecessary complexity - just a tool that does one thing really well.
