🥳 Just made Rooster Day public!
Howdy everyone! I just wanted to share an app that I made to help me plan and track my goals in a super fun and easy way. I shared it with all of my friends and got super positive feedback that I now want to share with more people :)

- React
- Node (for cloud functions)
- Firebase
- Mailjet (Email delivery)
Oh man, I remember working with Electron JS long back and trust me it was painful experience! I am glad you managed it, may be I will give it a shot in the future. BTW, congrats!
Exactly, it's not that great of experience working with ElectronJS, especially when you want to deal with dealing with external storage, auto-updates, and Apple signing ....
It may be a beta but dropping straight into a download of a dmg file feels pretty intimidating when I don't really know what the app looks like or does. Installing an app just feels way more intimidating than a web app (even if Mac is pretty good about sandboxing, viruses, etc).
I see you have some screenshots on twitter but personally throwing a video of you using the app on the landing page would be nice.
Finally got time this week to finish up the landing page! It still needs lots of content, but I guess it's a start :)
That's a great point! It's like screaming "Hey trust me, and download this executable app on your machine and hope for the best"... On the bright side, I'm putting up a better landing page, some social proof, and more details about it.
Right now since I haven't officially launched it, I'm just getting sign-ups from friends, family, and other people from the community, so far they had made some great points on how to improve it and even lots of requests for the Windows platform.
