I set a goal to write and publish the Phoenix Deployment Handbook in the month of January. I posted weekly updates on Twitter to build some excitement.
Over the weekend, I published the book with Gumroad and made it available for sale.
Now, I’m giving away the Quick Reference Guide attachment for free on my site, staknine.com, if you join my email list. I’m creating an email sequence with some tips from the book.
I also updated my landing page with early positive feedback.
What are some other techniques to continue marketing after launch? Thanks!
The landing page does look good. If you could add something related to your domain expertise, it might help. For example, some articles on Medium or blog posts that give readers an understanding of your knowledge and a sneak-peak on what they could expect if they purchase the book could be useful. You can reach out to relevant public Slack groups and use that to increase your email list.
I've been following https://www.pyimagesearch.com/ by Adrian Rosebrock for a long time. He has maintained consistency in his blog posts and emails, and posts useful things from time to time. I think creating and maintaining a relationship with potential readers will help a lot in the long term.
Thanks! I could definitively get more involved in the community Slack and Discord groups
