Just released my first app to the Microsoft Store. How to promote it?

I just released my very first side-hustle app to the Microsoft Store. Any suggestions on how to promote it?

Website:
https://www.coragi.com/imageprint

Microsoft Store:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/coragi-imageprint/9ns8bm1gm1w1

It is an app for easy printing of photos and export to PDF documents.

I faced the same question with my app on iOS AppStore.
This is what worked for me:
Joining and publishing info about my app on Facebook forums. My app is for stock market research and I joined those specific forums.
Advertising directly on the AppStore. Apple gives $100 credit to do this. I pay only when someone downloads. Hopefully Microsoft does something similar.

Other methods: reddit, product hunt, Instagram and Facebook advertising were useless .

      Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I tried a Product Hunt launch, but it was a big failure. Perhaps it was just bad timing.

I've noticed that Reddit works very well for free stuff. I released some free promo codes which were very popular - but it resulted in no sales later.

Currently I don't have any followers on Facebook or any other social media, so little to gain from those channels. So far, I have not used any paid advertising. But I guess you're right - Facebook, Google and other ad providers might not work.

Yes, I wish Microsoft could offer some similar ad campaigns as the AppStore.

Any suggestions on how to promote your app and links on Facebook without being marked as spam?

I don’t directly post info about my app, but join existing discussions. This way my advertisement is revenant and not spam.

        Examples:
Let’s say someone asked a question about what are good sources for research. I reply with below:

        Research:
Yahoo Finance (app and website) is free and has good info. I use it for financial news.
Another site I use for super investors’ holdings, this is where I start my research: https://www.dataroma.com/m/home.php (Free, I don’t know who created it). Basically, if I spot multiple well known investors buying the same stock, then I will research it.
Also I ended up creating an app for research: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/company-360/id1464857130 (Value Investing strategy).

        ————————-
Or if someone posted a question about a specific stock. I reply with:

Company’s execs (insiders) are selling the stock. Look at the transaction dates. Never a good sign for a company when management is selling the stock.

        Data and formulas from:
        https://apps.apple.com/us/app/company-360/id1464857130

        <and I add a screenshot>

          Thanks for your suggestions.

Have you ever created a Youtube video/presentation of your App? I'm thinking of creating one or several training videos showing the functionality, but I'm not sure if it is worth the time.

No, I never tried a youtube video. I posted a few videos to my app page on Facebook - didn't result in increase in downloads.

Look for related subreddits on reddit and other social media sites.
pro tip : Dont just post links , write down your story.
