Quick story.
I started paying attention to my running cadence a few months ago. Looked at the cadence metronome apps on the App Store and honestly none of them looked clean or simple enough that I'd actually use them on a run.
So I built one.
Set your BPM, press play, run. Your Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube — whatever's playing — keeps going. The beat sits on top.
Free with ads, $0.99 one-time for Pro (interval programs, all 8 sounds, no ads). No subscription. Ever.
Just launched on the App Store today: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6777015922
Android in closed test right now.

First thing I'm shipping under indiejohnny. Going to keep building small, sharp utility apps. Happy to answer anything.
One thing I'd be careful with:
The interesting question may not be whether runners want cadence guidance.
It may be what specific moment makes someone care enough to change an existing running habit for it.
That sounds subtle, but it can shape a lot of decisions that follow.
