Just Tried Something Wild: Build an App by Chatting (nandbox GPT)

Hey fellow devs đź‘‹

I stumbled onto something this week that honestly caught me off guard — it's called nandbox App Builder GPT. Basically, you build actual mobile apps just by chatting. No joke.

I’ve played with a lot of no-code tools, and most of them still feel like I’m doing manual labour with prettier UI. This one felt different. You describe what you want, and the assistant does most of the heavy lifting — native app logic, layout, even prebuilt modules like messaging, events, bookings, etc.

I built a rough version of a community app idea I had, and it:

Had user accounts

Real-time chat

Admin panel

Booking calendar

…all without me writing a single line of code.

Not saying it's replacing custom code any time soon, but for solo founders or quick MVPs, it might be the fastest thing I’ve used.

If you’re into testing new dev workflows or want a break from boilerplate, definitely worth checking out.

🔍 It’s a GPT — just search nandbox in the GPT store.

Curious if anyone else has tried this? Would love to compare notes.
