Just when I took my foot off the gas, traffic is picking up
I built RemoteCon.co about a month ago (it's a curated list of online events taking place worldwide - built with Airtable, Webflow and Zapier).
It's been fun to learn how to work with these tools, and finding interesting events. The only promotion I’m doing is publishing the events on my RemoteCon Twitter account.
In the last 2 days my motivation was not high (happens to every IH I guess), and I stopped publishing the events on Twitter.
For some reason, traffic actually went up. I have no explanation 🤷♀️

And it’s not just traffic, also the number of subscribers for RemoteCon's newsletter went up!
Going forward my goal is to get more visitors, but more so, get the visitors to come back. This is when I will know that there is a real value in this project.
It's funny how sometimes, things only start to happen once you let go! That's the way it was for me and Shynet—I spent a few days really trying to get the word out with only moderate success, then two days after I took my foot off the gas, attention spiked.
Funny how it often works out this way...
