Hey IH'ers. Just started getting fit and dont want to lose momentum as i start my digital nomadic Journey. Any tips?
I went nomadic about a year back and enjoy fitness. I'd consider bodyweight exercises / yoga. This makes you less reliant on a gym and equipment and offers a holistic workout unlike simply running (which is also fun occasionally). All you need is a mat and flat ground. Thin travel mats can fit in your rucksack and cost around $20. If you decide on yoga, I'd recommend taking some classes first so you know you are doing the asanas correctly. Otherwise, there are plenty of bodyweight exercise tutorials online. Checkout Fitloop by @shridhar.
Love it.. Indiehackers building simple solutions .
I spent a lot of last year digital nomad-ing, and found almost every city I went to had a month-to-month gym membership I could join. I usually had a gym session every couple of days before heading to the co-working space and it worked out really well
Thanks James. Be great if there was a class pass international or something similar.
Not a digital nomad, but I have two tips for when I'm traveling:
Going for an early run is such a great way to discover a new city you're in. Some more context: https://twitter.com/danialranjha/status/1159027464116604928.
Develop an Airbnb/Hotel/Travel HIIT routine. Here is mine: https://twitter.com/danialranjha/status/1114210853560012800.
More exercise ideas to put into your routine: pull ups, jumping lunges, jump squats.
Jump lunges and Jump sqauts..Ah despair here I come.
