Key To A Succesful Landing Page

I see a lot of people just going back and forth between a lot of the same issues in this thread, and I would want to point out some of the things that I have brought the most success to my landing pages through my journey of marketing for SaaS companies. BTW if you believe I missed something, please comment below so others can see. Here it goes:

Here are some pre-requisites that you must have before making a landing page:

  • Know your customer's pain points, desires, and tools they used in the past. (which will help you write good copy)
  • Have an irresistible offer. Something that your customers can't say no to.
  • Customer Testimonials, preferred video.

Now here are the sections/ items that you should include in a landing page that is made to sell your product:

  1. A countdown timer for when the offer will end. This creates urgency & encourages a lot of sales.

  2. Video demo of your software that focuses on the benefits & end results of using your software. That also mentions the special offer & when it will run out.

  3. Clear call to action. EX: Access the special offer. NOT Purchase

  4. A sales letter describing the problems of the target customers and how your software solves their problems.

  5. Features of your software and how the customers will benefit from each feature.

  6. Money-back guarantee section.

  7. Offer details. AKA, what do they get in this offer

  8. Customer Testimonials. Preferably video testimonials if available.

  9. FAQ Section

Notice how the call to action is not to purchase. The purpose of the landing page is not to sell. Instead, it is to collect an email from the potential customer and then redirect them to a purchase page where they can order.

The idea behind this is that we are asking for a much smaller commitment from the customer by asking for their email rather than asking for a bigger commitment to purchase. Also, if a person inputs the email but does not buy the product, we can easily retarget them with email, which can double your sales.

So if you found this helpful, let me know. Also, if you believe I missed something also, comment below!
