Kompyte charges $15k/year. Crayon charges $20-60k. I built the $49/mo version in 6 weeks.

The competitor intelligence market has a hole in it that nobody is filling.

Kompyte: $15k/year minimum.

Crayon: $20k-$60k/year, enterprise sales only.

Klue: won't even quote you under $30k.

All three abandoned self-serve years ago because they chased bigger logos. The entire $29-$99/mo slot — where indie founders and small marketing teams actually live — is empty.

So I built Tabloid. Launched it today.

What it does: monitors 17 signal sources per competitor (pricing, hiring, SEO, ads, Reddit, news, reviews, app stores, stock, blog, YouTube, TikTok ads, Google ads, autocomplete, rank tracker, Google Trends, full website diffs). Diffs them daily. Runs every change through Gemini 2.5 Flash and delivers the intel as a tabloid-newspaper-style email digest every morning. $49/mo, 10 competitors.

Stack, for the stack nerds: Next.js 16, self-hosted Convex on Fly.io, Bun, SearchApi + Scrape.do for the 17 scrapers, OpenRouter for the LLM layer, Polar for payments, Resend for email. Built solo in 6 weeks and 4 days while working a full-time software eng job. No cofounder, no agency, no AI-generated slop.

There's also a free roast tool at tabloid.site/roast. Drop in any URL and it generates a brutal full audit of their website in about 2 minutes — performance, SEO, positioning, pricing page, the works. No signup, no email, no friction. I built it as a lead magnet and it turned out to be the best part of the product. Try it on your biggest competitor.

Two things I want from this community:

1. Roast your biggest competitor at tabloid.site/roast and tell me if the output is as good as I think it is. Screenshots welcome. Negative reactions welcome.

2. Pricing question I can't decide on my own: single tier at $49/mo, or three tiers — Stalker $29 / Paparazzi $49 / Editor $99? My gut says ladder, but I've seen too many solo founders overcomplicate pricing. What would you do?

I'll be in the comments for the rest of the day.
