Also, I personally feel landen made more sense, more memorable and it was still short then.
getting landen.com would've cost us more than 3x what we paid for umso.com ð . Which is part of the reason why we started considering a new name in the first place.
I see. Usually, 4l costs more than 6l, so I was thinking the opposite.
Now you can say like "You can build the most powerful and beautiful landing page even if you don't serve a purpose or a meaning, like our name".
Ha, savage! I'd like to think that the name has a purpose at the very least. On average longer domains might be cheaper but in individual cases they can be very erratic. Greedy owners will set a price based on what they think the buyer can afford and not what the domain is actually worth.
4 letter domains are pretty tough to get, but this one was reasonably affordable. We also do love the name Landen as well, for the reasons explained in the blog post and also for the fact that landen.com wasn't very affordable, making the move made more sense for us.
