Landing page assets for a non-designer?

I recently saw one of our fellow Indie Hackers' project pages, SoothingBoard (https://soothingboard.com/).

This is just an example of an awesome landing page that I really admire and would wish I was able to make myself. It also reminds me of the Stripe landing page, which is (in my opinion) the absolute best I have ever seen (https://stripe.com).

Coding is not an issue, not in the frontend either. My issue always mostly revolves around assets and customizing those assets.

For instance, those swirly page transitions many people have on their landing page between "sections". What are they called? And do people make them themselves? Is there a generator somewhere for this kind of stuff?

I tried looking into ThemeForest, but my site uses a brown theme which is very atypical and hard to find something for. Perhaps I should just buy an existing theme and change the colors? Is that what people typically do?

I can't tell if I'm on the right track here, or where to start really.

My project's site is https://dogger.io. I could really use some help, since the current landing page is a mess, and doesn't look very inspirational.
