Hello fellow hackers π,
I've just finalized the landing page for my new side project: https://sweetr.dev
I'm looking for feedback on the landing page. Have in mind that this app hasn't been launched or marketed yet.
A few points I'd like your feedback on:
- Does it look legit?
- Do you understand what it does?
- Is the design interesting/sleek?
- If you are a developer - do you see value in the features listed?
- Is anything unclear?
- Any additional suggestions?
A few considerations:
- I'll be adding social proof once I have it.
- This is an MVP, I don't want to spend a lot of time fine-tuning the website right now. Looking for low-effort high-impact opportunities.
- Docs/blog will be added later down the road.
- I foresee a good chunk of my traffic coming from GitHub's marketplace.
Thank you very much! :)
Hi it think probably good to have a "contact us" page where users may submit requests, or maybe I missed it!
I agree! Thanks for the feedback.
It's cool that you used the design style of GitHub. I didn't feel out of place.
The title emphasizes that the app is a GitHub app. It could instead describe its main purpose.
I've updated the title to "Speed up your team's development workflow" - does that look better? https://sweetr.dev
Definitely better than before :) I think it describes the main purpose well.
Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback :)
I agree the main title could use some better copy. Any suggestions?
And, would you say you were able to understand it's main purpose?
Thanks!
"Unleash the Power of GitHub: Streamline Workflows and Increase Efficiency!", which is an ambitious title that describes the main purpose of the application.
It's your product, you know it better than me. You can produce a title like this.

Sounds better!
Hi Jeane, thank you very much for the feedback :)
Again, thanks for your time ππ»ββοΈ
I was mainly compelled to scroll because I didn't want to install a random app.

As a full-time developer, it seems to me that the features your app is offering are dependencies changes & PR size labeling, both of them are not really beneficial to my daily workflow. Once the project is set up, dependencies are usually stable and we won't change the versions much. For PR size labeling, it's a nice UI add-on, but in GitHub PR, I can always see how many lines are changed, so it doesn't add a lot of value to me
Hi!
Congrats on the launch
I left some ideas what I would change here - https://visualdebug.com/show/sweetr.dev
Hi Stan,
thank you very much for the feedback, I loved the copy suggestion!
I'll likely add a contact us page this week - more pages I think I'll leave in the backlog so I can focus again on adding features :)
Thanks again!
Sounds good! :)
It's good with useful features and FAQs are nice to clarify privacy concerns. But the following things can be improved:
It took some time for me to search for features and understand them. Feature screenshots and their descriptions are tightly packed. You can place feature explanations one after the other vertically. And for each feature, text and screenshots can be side by side.
You may also highlight the feature in the screenshot for quick understanding. For example, highlight Tiny, Medium, etc in the PR size labeler screenshot.
I agree, the features section could be clearer. A few others have mentioned something similar. Thanks for the feedback :)
