Landing Page Feedback Exchange

Hey @gaboratorium! I really like the idea behind Prefund! I see everyone else offered great advice, so I'll just stick to something that caught my attention, colors & contrast. I feel like some text could use a little bit more contrast to their background (like the hero section's subheading). Also, what I always do is, I use tools like Adobe color picker to find complementary colors for the main color I want to use. I think that would boost the visual of the website a LOT!

I think the layout and concept behind the landing page are very good. It does a good job explaining what what the app does and showing the features. I find the upcoming features showcase quite useful too.

Where I would question things is the 'why' of the lander (and potentially the product).
You say 'Discover the powerful habit of expense tracking' it would be better to lead with the benefit first e.g. ' See where your money goes' or 'Spend with intent' or 'Save more' Etc. I think you need to try and put yourself in the shoes of your visitor and think why are they looking for a budgeting app? what do they want to get out of it ? Within the supporting test you have a good bit of copy: ' bring clarity to your personal finance'

Also I would argue that relative to your competition mint etc... your USP is notion integration, so I would lead with that. Maybe put a visible notion icon in the header and say something like ' found notion budgeting too frustrating ? here's your answer' and then list out the features.

You can only really find this out by trying to interview enough of your users. Once you have a couple of beta users, drop their reviews on your site too. A bunch of tweets or plain reviews would do a good job of selling the app. Social proof is always important.

The current landing page doesn't give me a strong a why. Once you have a why nailed down i would work on expressing it visually through both the app screenshot and perhaps some 3d images or illustrations.

Also think about colours more, the layout is good, but from a design perspective it not unique, so might be more forgettable.

I have a couple of comments to answer your questions above.

Mainly, I think that on the first tagline, you can be more exciting than just "Discovering" and you could highlight one of the main consequences of tracking expenses (is it peace of mind, saving money, ...?).

I'd say it's a nice, professional looking landing page - but - when I get to FEATURES it is a sea of gray. Not only would a little color (like the icons) make it more interesting and hold the reader's attention better, but more contrast for the text (currently, medium gray text on light gray background) would make it a lot more readable. I do like the left to right arrows animation and the hover effect on the feature icons. Nice job.

Here is my 2 cents:
The first item that stood out to me was how it works. I felt like I understood the product better by reading the captions and was confused by the illustrations. I suggest updating the illustration to be less ambiguous. I like how each of the features is clickable and will take me to where I can learn more about that feature. I also like that you showcase the different custom options to choose from. I think adding more space between each section (how it works, features, upcoming, design options, pricing) will make the page feel less crammed.
Just my 2 cents, take it or leave it.

Congrats on the launch!

1. The design looks a bit dated. It reminds me of websites from 2014.
2. The content is very feature focused instead of it being problem focused. While I now understand envelope budgeting (all thanks to you :)), I don't really feel I understand or feel the pain for why I need it. Is the problem that you are solving about improving financial transparency, or helping me manage my finances? Is it not clear what the value is of tracking expenses is. What does it mean to brings clarity and purpose to your personal finance. What will this enable me to do?

My recommendation - focus on the problems that you are solving for the user and make it explicit for them. The design stuff is forgivable if you have a clear value prop.
