Landing page feedback for GPT-3 brainstorming tool

Hey everyone – just put out a new landing page for our product.

Here's the link - https://www.pathspace.com/

  1. What's one thing you would improve?
  2. What do you think of the product?
on August 14, 2022
  1. 2
    1. I would show real examples of ideas being brainstormed, so the visitor doesn't feel like you're hiding something(like poor results). This also lets them get a feel for the kind of output they can expect.

    2. I would also figure out if the messaging you're using is messaging that resonates with your target market.

So I'd have 1-on-1 customer interviews where I would directly, without bias, ask the people using the tool how important the following messages are to them:

    • "Structured & anonymous"
    • "No learning curve"
    • "Design thinking best practices"
    • etc...

Then, I'd record and transcribe all of the interviews, and use that data to inform the new messaging.

    1. I'd add social proof throughout the entire page(Things like testimonials, ratings, follower counts, active users, etc...). Don't underestimate social proof, it can have a very large impact on your conversion rate.

    2. I'd think about moving the "Backed by YCombinator & Google" under the hero section. It'll help you build more trust and position you as more of an authority.

I really like the idea of this brainstorming tool, and if you ever need a fresh pair of eyes to look over some new copy/marketing-related stuff — I'd love to help out!

You can find me on LinkedIn here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/christian-haskins/

This is awesome feedback, Christian! I've added testimonials and brought the backed by YC and Google thing to the top.

Regarding actual ideas being brainstormed, where do you think I should add this? Should I change the screenshots to actual text?

      1. 1

Yea I would change the screenshots to actual text.

You might not have to change it ALL to text, but you can probably find a nice balance.

Also, when writing your copy — try not to lean too hard on the buzzword "AI".

Communicate the problem, solution, and benefits first. And then add in AI afterward.

It'll make your copy more clear.

I don't understand the use cases. (And this is coming from someone who does a lot of brainstorming with my teams).

I like the display you have of those screens showing the different steps in the process, BUT... like @Christian_Haskins I think the absence of content is sketchy. It feels like, if you were proud of the results you'd show them.

So... what I'd do on that landing page is add a horizontal selector above these screenshots that says :
Brainstorm: [Domain names] [Product titles] [Blog post Ideas]

And when someone clicks one of those, the screenshot updates with actual content from that category. See what I mean? This way, you can display an array of actual use cases.

(And of course, those use cases should be from what your real users want help brainstorming)

Hey @Nuro - this is great feedback. I'm working on changing the pictures. Out of curiosity, what are your top 3-5 brainstorming use cases?

      1. 1

I love that you asked that!

        Recent use cases:

        • Brainstorming domain names for new products (I have bought hundreds of domain names, and in the domain-buying world I'm a microbe compared to most others... so finding a solid domain name is worth money to that niche). Value: some
        • Product names (especially information products). Value : very high
        • Email titles (when the content is already written). Value : some
        • Email titles (when we don't have an idea yet for the content/theme of that email campaign or newsletter). Value : high
        • Titles for free content videos for YouTube. Value : some
        • Names for events : virtual events, webinars, in-person workshops and conferences. Value : very high

These are the most recent brainstorm sessions I've had that come to mind.

Visually it's solid. Not much to offer up there :)

Your headline is too vague. I don't get what it means when I read it and generally that's not a good thing. You want it to be clear from the get-go. I actually think your second headline about AI is far more intriguing. So, pulling the AI into the headline instead.

    "Idea Collaboration, Super-Charged with AI!"

Something along those lines sounds more sexy.

@MrJustinF thanks so much. I've updated the headline, and CR has improved a lot. Thanks so much!
