Landing page feedback: Help developers fund personal projects

Hi fellow indiehackers!

It would mean a lot if you could help me out with the landing page before we officially launch? Is the message clear enough? Some info missing?

Here is the link: https://hivefive.io/.

Thank you so much in advance!

Well, the idea is interesting but I wonder how it differs from the Google ads that you put on your site (no developer has it). And the second note is it may be confusing for users because they can think the current project uses this sponsor's technology.

Another thing is how you can prevent counting the number of shows? I can open the page many times, will you able to figure out it's me even if I signed out from Github?

Thank you so much for the feedback!

Primarily we want to help developers fund their projects. With that in mind, our goal is to target only relevant tech companies and give them a chance to promote via GitHub repositories to the relevant audiences. Also, Google Ads are ugly, non-relevant, annoying banners. Badges are highly targetted, non-intrusive, stylish, relevant info.

Your point about the sponsor's technology is completely true. Our badges will have small icons (like hearts) that will signify that the company is a sponsor company.

As for the tracking of the impressions, we have tools to determine misuse of the platform and we will do our best to improve the tools over time. It will be a never-ending task, really!

Thank you once again for the help and I would like to stay in touch and keep you updated on the project progress.

I've got your point. Do you already have a working product or you're just currently validating the idea?

We have a working product, but it is still in testing phase. We will be able to give the first sponsor badges to the developers in the next couple of weeks.

I will definitely keep you posted.
