Hi IndieHackers!
I'm working on an iPhone app and to gather beta testers I've created a landing page. It would be great to get some feedback from you. https://gethippo.app
Some questions I have:
Thanks!
#landing-page-feedback
It looks great, but it's a little long. I would combine the colored boxes like Notes, Events, and Todos into a slide-show type of widget so you can save vertical space.
This looks pretty cool. I would change the CTA button to "Join Waitlist" instead of "Subscribe". This will allow you to lose the line "Join the mailing list to get notified when Hippo is available or join the beta test", thus getting rid of some text. Also, why should I join your mailing list when all I want to do is try out the app? I really don't want to another newsletter or mailing list in my inbox.
Try to reduce the amount of text in the "Details matter in relationships" section. The text makes sense, but I am sure you can make the same point in fewer words.
I like the "Go from thinking.. to saying.." section. My issue with that section is that I have to go back and forth between them to figure out what question each block in the "to saying.." section answers. It would be better, IMO, if they were combined in some way.
This is like a personal CRM, right? To me the main issues with systems like these is how data gets into the system and then how is it retrieved. Your landing page makes the retrieval part clear. The data entry aspect is unclear to me. Am I expected to carve time out after the meeting to enter data about the person I met? Is it going to be free-form text entry, form fields or specific buttons I can hit?
@bcosynot Thanks for the great feedback!
