Landing Page Feedback - Message Queues & Cron Jobs for Vercel

Love that you put yourself and your team at the end.

A lot of great products hide behind the curtain of anonymity and thus create a perception of quick money grabs or scams. IMO.

Great landing page. I assume this is a funded startup kinda thing based on the quality!

I am confused why I need message queues (I use Vercel) but maybe I am not in your target market.

If you offered a database for Vercel that would be interesting.

✅ The headers clearly explains what your product does
🔴 Not a huge fan of the animating text, because sometimes you just miss it
🔴 Inside the box you say: Create your free account now! I think this text shouldn't be a header. additionally the screenshot doesn't really provide any additional help to a new visitor
✅ The "benefits" are explained well, I would add some testimonials now.
🔴 What's the purpose of "Introductory Offer!" text in pricing? i can't click it

I totally understand what your product is doing. As other comments have already mentioned, It would be better if you add some more cases to help your visitor find it helpful while browsing through your web, and some images to show how it works.

1. The headline confused me a bit (not the copy, the UX). It took me a while to understand what was being typed, and what was fixed.

If you use React, I recommend this plugin to add a cursor to the dynamic text https://www.npmjs.com/package/react-simple-typewriter

I would also swap the green colors to the dynamic text instead of "Vercel Users"

2. I was expecting the product demo image to show me how it works.

3. I'm still confused if it's only for Vercel, or all cloud environments (due to the logo banner underneath the demo)

4. Pricing is super simple, easy to understand (congrats it's usually the hardest^^)

Its all good, and I understand what your product is doing.

But as other comments, I would also love if you add some more use cases, and some screenshots from your app.

And also, in the "The way to build async systems." there is a spelling mistake under the thunder sign, it should use "your" and not "you" :D

Sounds interesting. I'm in your target because I'm using a similar product for managed queues (cloudamqp). Tbh, your pricing doesn't fit my needs because it'll be super expensive in my case (and I guess for many other people). Good luck.

Looks clean and makes sense for single-page apps. We use Netlify, I thought of migrating to Vercel as it's cheaper, but then Cloudflare (https://pages.cloudflare.com/) now offers similar hosting. For now, staying with Netlify.

Can't comment on the specific use right now as we're building our own API platform (Aurinko.io) that could serve as a backend API for webapps, although we focus on workplace addons/integrations more. Event based communication / streaming is definitely needed, I just have not thought much of queues.

I agree, example use cases would help your site visitors understand better why they need something like this.

I may not be your target user, so my comments may be a bit off kilter, but...

Have you considered adding more "use case" examples to your home page?

I'm not yet a Vercel or Netlify user (although I'm familiarizing myself with jamstack tools, and may be headed in that direction - and so maybe I will add your service to my list). And I'm not (yet, anyway) a Lambda user, although I am using other AWS services. So I'm not yet clear on whether or how your service may be useful to me.

I'm still thinking through how I might use your services - I have in the past written a reasonably large set of REST API calls, but my only message queue experience is with MQTT - and I can see that your service is not a replacement for that. But maybe I don't yet have a problem that you can solve. I'm thinking that it is a one-way queue only, which brings up some questions as to whether it may not be useful with API calls that are not just 'fire and forget' but rather may return either success or failure info, or other data.

Also, I'm thinking that with an API key needed to initiate a request, that request would need to come from a back-end app rather than directly from a front-end app - or have I misunderstood something? Anyway, more examples of use cases would help to eliminate any such misunderstanding.

I have in the past considered the problem of how I might implement a cron capability in a nodejs app - and since I didn't find any attractive solutions, I ended up using a regular unix crontab with a php script instead - so I can see places where your cron service could come in handy - but to do so would involve a certain level of trust.

Again, I'm probably not (yet) your target user, so my lack of understanding may not apply to others - but congrats on getting your service up and running...

Thanks for building this. I think we're the intended audience, but a bit confused about the relationship with Vercel. After some research, I've found Zeto, Qstash, ServerlessQ and Quirrel (acquired).

From the homepage, it seems like I need to be hosted on Vercel, but that doesn't seem the case from the docs. Also, I think a use case that many will have is processing webhooks from 3rd parties or putting their own background jobs in a queue for any FaaS provider.

In trying to compare the different names mentioned, on what basis are you trying to differentiate, if at all.
