It is a note-taking app tailored for online learning.

I've looked at your landing page as well:
The "How it works" section should be positioned with the app demo image in my opinion. It should also just be call to actions like:
Step 1: Sign up
Step 2: Collect content quickly fleeting notes
Step 3: Expand fleets into permanent notes
Step 4: Connect the notes for networked learning
If you intend on keeping the text as is then probably a horizontal arrangement with illustrations would be better. Something like: https://balanceapp.com/
The problem you are trying to solve seems to be positioned for people learning online and not just casual browsing. You should probably say something like:
Gemsnotes is designed for students learning online. You can take notes efficiently while watching videos or reading courseware and use the app to revise content later.

The black text on blue boxes in the laptop screen are hard on the eyes. I like the icons in the columns, but the text in the columns is waaay too long. I would maybe try breaking them up into separate sections horizontally instead of the columns.
I like your logo!
The value prop seems unclear to me compared to any other generic notes app. I don't take a lot of written notes though so I don't know if I'm qualified.

Regarding the value prop, please just let me try to clarify: there are many note-taking apps out there, but none of them really helped me so far to face some of the most common problems that affect my daily Internet browsing: information overload, cognitive biases and the difficulty to convert all those valuable sources available into lasting learning and eventually create new personal content. Do you feel it as a problem as well?

Not really... like I said, I don't really use a note taking app, but I feel like most of them follow a similar layout. Some sort of list of all notes and then a large content area for the note itself. I'm not really sure if that's the information overload you're talking about or something else.
