Just released new designs for our landing pages, currently 80% of our traffic is via desktop since our users are video makers/editors so we optimised for this. However, we are working on improving the mobile designs for our next release.
Would appreciate any feedback and thoughts that you have!
Thanks.
The site is really slow. You need to cache and load assets from cdn. Only have one or two tracking scripts, they really slow things.
The idea is definitely great. Love the sections.
Are you running this off a wordpress site or you have some sort of database backing this ?
@nojvek appreciate the insight, we’re going to look at some browser caching and cdn caching solutions to try and help with the speed issue. No, we’re not running off of WordPress, we’ve built a database.
Hi Edward!
I'm not a video creator – so presumably not your target audience. I like look the page overall. Looks like an interesting product!
Here are a few points:
vreel.co/blog. More info.Hope that helps!
@radek thanks so much for taking the time to give me feedback, I especially appreciate the link to the article on subdomains vs subdirectories - very useful information :D
Nicely done. Little slow to load initially (on a 1 Gigabit service), but worth the wait. Cookies warning pop up is a bit intrusive, but I suppose that's the name of the task at this point.
Thanks, @dogroot - speeding things up will be top of the list as it's been mentioned by a lot of users and makes for a lousy ux. As for the Cookie announcement - like you say, unfortunately this is par for the course now with GDPR and data protection. Really appreciate your input, thanks for taking the time!
Hey Edward! That sounds like a very cool idea! I quite like the website's design, and I see you managed to fix the speed issues. Some of these sections are absolutely breathtaking! There's nothing better than a beautiful spot captured by a quality drone from the perfect angle. I was quite skeptical about drones when they appeared on the market as I thought they were ridiculously expensive. However, I must say I've seen the light. Now I may spend hours on websites such as https://weflywithdrones.com/ searching for some cool drone insight. Cheers!
I don't know if this is the wanted behavior, but I can't open any of the FAQ sections.
@IndieHackerACA thanks for the feedback. Definitely not the intended behaviour! Can I ask what browser you’re using ? We have a bunch of issues with Safari and are shipping the fixes early next week.
@EdwardThomas It seems to be working now.
It a nice idea. Would definitely buy it if I was a YouTuber.
Did you think about having a starter plan for people that want to start their own channel and need something cheap and of decent quality?
