Landing Page Feedback @ Website TOS & Legal Agreements API
Hey IH,
I was looking for a little feedback for the landing page of my side project called CoContract. Which is a website, mobile app, SaaS terms of service API platform.
Most of us know that our products must have a TOS, Privacy policy, and various disclaimers to protect ourselves when it comes to legal liability.
CoContract is one line of code that you insert on your pages where a registration form lives, from there we track user acceptance, user data, and versioning of your website legal agreements from one dashboard.

First I want to say thank you very much to the IH community, you all helped me focus on the benefits that the software would provide to a user.
Based on everyone's feedback, I've made some changes to the core messaging

I'm obviously going to split test the messaging but needed to get a solid control variable first. One thing I've realized is that this is a marathon and that consistency and longevity are key to success.

It looks like it’s coming on well, the description you have now is a lot more readable. This part especially is clear and well structured:

However, I think 'Save the Paper / Compliance is Handled' makes things less clear. The positioning of that slogan/claim implies that this service is primarily about saving paper but I’m not sure that’s what you’re aiming for. I’d suggest getting rid of those slogans and go straight to what the service is about — I think you did that quite well already (see above.)

Hey there. Cool idea. Are you an attorney? Are you working with one? It would be smart to market this to lawyers or law firms that work with startups to give them a tool that they can, in turn, give to their clients to keep track of their agreements/compliance efforts. Or bundle the package in some way so that a startup can make your site a one-stop shop to create and manage their legal compliance agreements.
Thanks for replying, that's pretty valuable feedback. It's something I had thought of while going through this exercise of building in public. I'm going to test my assumptions by running some very small test ads (~$10) on hyper targeted groups, adding attorneys into the mix now.

Thx @jeddi I've seen that video before, and previously it was the main motivation that inspired me to come up with the "Save The Paper" tagline.
Traditional paper contract processes are broken, we live in a mostly digital world why do our contracts and some of the most important agreements that we will agree to in our lives still live on a "analog" medium. We are out to fix that, thanks for putting me back on the right track.

Ditch the "sign up" button for something like "Try Free" or "Learn More"
That's actually a really useful feature in other industries. I work in compliance technology in the Financial sector for my day job, and knowing what version of documents a customer signed could make the difference of millions of dollars in litigation.
That's great to hear, I didn't know that sector could benefit from such a service, as I had initially thought web devs would be my primary target audience. But as I vet these assumptions I learn new things every day.
What would be the title of your current job?, (Weird I know, just a general idea or position title.) I ask because maybe I can find some other professionals on Linkedin to target and get feedback.
I am a senior computer engineering. We are not big on titles at my place. You are better off looking for "Director of Compliance" positions or "Compliance Officer"

I agree with what others have noted so far.
Nice landing page. The idea sounds good! And visually it looks appealing and polished.
So my first thought when reading the main claim 'Terms of Service, & Privacy Policies should just be a line of code' was that the terms and services should literally be a line of code instead of, you know, a legal text. Well, that can’t be right, so my second thought was that the API will give me pre-written legal texts that I can pull into my website. Seemed like a good idea, but that doesn’t seem to be what you’re doing either.
I came back to your post here and suddenly things made more sense. I think the text on your landing page could be a bit more specific, an extra sentence wouldn’t hurt as you're pretty minimal right now.
This API seems to be more about managing your already existing disclaimers rather than, say, using pre-existing disclaimers from a database. Maybe using a few keywords (like 'manage') could help make that clear.

@thomasm1964 You'r right I did do more selling here than on my landing page, I guess because I had more space here ;)
But I genuinely appreciate the feedback, all of the above points are very helpful and I'm going to implement them right away. I was just trying to clearly convey what the service would do, but now I see I need to better explain why someone would need the service and then also what would make them need to "jump" all over it.
