Landing page for marketing management tool

Hi everyone,

I’ve just published version 1 of my landing page for Grip and I’d love to hear what you all think about the page and the idea itself:

https://trygrip.com/

Grip in its current iteration will help people organize their marketing activities across all channels and will let them define experiments and track metrics in these selected channels. With the landing page I want to check if anybody except me needs such an app.

So what do you all think? Is the copy clear? Do you understand what the app does? What would you change on the page?

Hey Ben, few words on UI/UX.

*In the hero section, there is quite a lot of text thrown, hard to visually scan. Usually centre-aligning of text reduces readability

*The height of the input field and the button do not match. That creates and inconsistent look.

*Make sure you also being consistent with border radius. I've noticed that button does have round corners but input fields don't.

*Last section "The reasons for Grip" title and the link are centre-aligned, the text block is left-aligned. Make sure that you stick to one alignment method.

*I would also vertically centre the text block to the img in your sections.

Overall, not a bad job. I have posted yesterday a post on IH about some quick UI fixes, I think it might be useful. Link:

      Hey Max,

Thank you for your suggestions! I'll work on those areas. I've also read your UI article. Those are some great points!

    Hey Ben,

Congrats on putting something out there.

From a very quick glance at the landing page, I'm confused by what seems to be combining what I think of as two separate tools, one for experimentation (which I take to mean split testing) and one for marketing activity tracking.

The homepage h1 copy suggests it's an experimentation tool.

As I scroll down, I'm beginning to get it: Grip provides a framework for trying X marketing channel, then Y then Z?

As someone who tracks marketing success across a variety of channels, I fear it would be a bear to implement. How does it work to get me success metrics quickly?

In its current state, I'm not confident I would take this app for a spin. I have confidence in my own ability to decide which channels work well by looking at conversion rates by channel.

That said, I've been contemplating attacking the smaller area of just marketing campaigns. So it would be a pleasure to share notes sometime.

      Hi Blake,

Thank you for your great feedback! In retrospect I have to say I totally agree that the "experiment" wording is confusing. I'll work on that!

Exactly, Grip is more of a management software to organize what you want to do in each channel in the first place. But then also a place to aggregate metrics. I'd do this by integrating with Google Analytics et al.

Would be great to chat about this. I'll send you an email and maybe we can jump on a short call sometime next week or whenever suits you.
