Landing Page for Upminder.io
Hello IHs,
I've been working a lot towards releasing my first SaaS project. My idea is to release one of my personal, tools that I have been using for years as a software consultant, as a SaaS project named Upminder.io.
The project is a simplified database as a service for developers in a beginner level, or advanced developers who want to bootstrap something quickly. The MVP is not yet released, I'm planning on doing that in the next couple of weeks (some refinements are still needed for a beta launch).
Meanwhile, I would love to hear what you guys think about my landing page. Can you easily understand what the service is? How's the design?

What problems did you have creating the landing page yourself?
Did you look at templates/landing page builders?
If so why didn't you use them?
Wow, thanks a lot! Those are great points. I was not a big fan of the hero image, but the few friends I showed it to liked it. I like the idea of using the screenshot of the app instead, I will try it.
To answer your questions, my main requirements for using a landing page builder were small learning curve, the ability to use my own domain and nice templates ready to be used.
I ended up using gohugo.io because they had many different templates and, since I'm a developer, I like to own all the files for the web page. However, the learning curve was steeper than I expected and, if I have to do it again, I'm not sure I would still use it. I could give versoly a try if I redo it later, supporting another IH project would be a plus ;)
About versoly's landing page, do you have templates ready to be used? If so, you could add a show case page with the templates. That was the first thing I would look at when searching for landing page builders.
Yep i'm using Gatsby at the moment to create a side project and it is proving a little difficult as well. I love the static movement but I could have coded this already in Django. At least I got to learn Graphql and most likely make it open source.
We have templates but users so far have preferred to use blocks (sections that put together build a site). If you click the try builder button you can test it out without signing up. Any feedback would be great :)
A lot of empty space in Features section. Does not follow an existing page pattern. You could make better use of that space, by making the actual features more visible.
Blog and Docs links are broken.
I do not understand how is "Unlimited records" a benefit, if all 3 plans have it.
Records are probably limited by data space anyway, right?
I'd make the text a little more visible. Most of the important text looks muted because of the grey colour.
To convert more, I'd also hold the Signup Form in landing page.
Also, I know this is not UI UX related, but signing up with Github would be great. Much faster process.
Overall, the page looks good. It is very clean, but I'd work a bit on making it more oriented towards creating Leads.
For example, instead of highlight on "Serving your app" - I'd rather use "The simplest way to build a database" or something similar.
You are right there, I need to make the features section stand out more, I will try with different and bigger illustrations.
Records are limited by a total storage limit only. "Unlimited records" is listed as a feature because some other services limit by both total storage and number of records. But I see what you are saying, if its the same for all plans then maybe I should list it elsewhere on the page.
Blog and Docs are not done yet, they are actually the main things I'm missing for the release, thanks for noticing! I should hide the links until they are done.
