Landing Page for Virtual Reality Course

A couple of comments regarding the design:

(Using a 15" Macbook Pro)

You should make intro text more visible. Consider adding a background color. The majority of the text lands over the womans hand, making it borderline unreadable.

Choose an image that actually leads your eyes towards the text and button. Ideally the woman should be looking the opposite direction.

Your CTA button should have a different color. Doesn't really matter which, but should be in contrast to the image. Since your image is blue toned, aim for colors like red, orange or green. Just google color wheel and choose a color on the oposite side from your image.

There's a 40px high white bar over the image on my computer. And the top of the first headline is positioned 460px from the top of the browser screen. This actually pushes your CTA button under the fold.

Bit undecided about the course listing. Maybe try a vertical listing instead. Might be more readable.

Testimonials, if you have any :-)

Lastly I think your course overview video should be waaaay higher on the page. For a landing page it more important than pretty much everything else. I'd ditch the woman and put your video first with your text and button next to it.

If you're reluctant to have your face being the first thing people see, don't worry at all. Your personality comes off great and you have a trusting face and voice :-)

Hey Lou, looks like a great resource.

Here are a few thoughts on the layout of the page:

1. The main CTA and some of the text sits off the screen (on my Macbook Pro 15"). I'd try tightening up the intro so it's all readable when I first land.
2. The visual hierarchy of the intros 3 bits of text could be improved. For example making the first line bold.
3. I'd recommend finding a way to make the intro text not sit over the image, or at least increase the contrast to improve readability.
4. When I first viewed the grid of courses it felt daunting as there are so many. Perhaps find a way to group some or simplify what is shown here, so at a glance I get an idea of what's on offer.
