Landing Page roast without an actual Landing page!

Hi all,
I'm in the process of writing out my landing page copy, and rather than uploading the content, I figured how can I optimize this before putting it up on the live site. Instead, I created a simple google doc to get that preliminary skeleton of a landing page. It is not pretty by any means but it will serve a purpose I hope.

If you would like to provide feedback (nice or not) please feel free to do so.

I'm liking that you're asking for feedback so early in the writing process. This is great.

I'm not sure that's the type of page I'd recommend for your service. I'd recommend a struggle-first page structure in your case.

When your service solves a real struggle but your audience doesn't yet have an established mindset about your solution, then that's when I recommend staying away from a type of page like the one you're creating (a features-and-benefits page) and instead recommend a struggle-first page.

In short, it's a type of page showing the visitor you understand their struggle so they react by saying “I feel understood!”

More concretely, here's another post about how to structure a page like that:

Hope that helps Paolo. Good luck!

Thanks for your feedback @pascallaliberte and to be honest I wasn't aware of the struggle first approach which is quite interesting.

Also, your blog has some real good info 👍 thanks for sharing.

You missed another option, "sort of". I sort of understand what you're doing, but how you plan to do it is a mystery, so I can't truly understand "what the product is about". So in this case I'll have to choose no.

Hey @antarctican 'sort of' in my mind is another type of "no".

I will try to be more clear about how I plan to accomplish what I am claiming.

This type of feedback is exactly what I am looking for..so thanks for replying.
