Landing Pages in 2023
Hi, what is the current thinking on landing pages? The last discussion was over a year ago. Ideally I'd use a platform that easily lets me start with a landing page and replace it with my SaaS app later. Is there such a thing?

Instead of changing the Landing Page to the app page, why not keep the ('commercial') Landing page to keep 'selling' the SaaA and just add a 'Login' link at some point to take you to the app? But perhaps your use case is different...

There are two ways to think about landing pages if you are not looking to go the traditional development route.
(a) No-code tools: there are already a ton of them. I've tried TypeDream, Cardd, Unicornpages, and others. Do you know what I finally settled with? Wix! Haha. I've created our landing page using Wix. It's super inexpensive compared to the other platforms. Though I found using it a little hard, it was okay for me.
Using Notion to website is another option, but I did not like the end-output as it more or less looks like a fancy notion page rather than a landing page (my personal take)
(b) Using HTML templates. Again, quite a few folks sell you some really good HTML templates. If a template perfectly suits your style, you only need to change the content and images and host the page. For hosting, you can use AWS S3 to Github pages. But, honestly, for this to work, you need to understand a bit of tech (minor css changes, especially to fine-tune the images/text) and spend a few minutes understanding how to host the HTML page.

I'm currently building https://getpane.com which allows you to quickly bring up a landing page by choosing the sections you want and then changing the content. Hopefully it's useful to you, if you have a go and have any feedback don't hesitate to reach out!
Check out https://carrd.co/, can use their hosting or your own domain so I imagine the transition would be easy!
There is no platform I can recommend that can go from landing page -> SaaS app.
They're two very different use cases.
