Landing revamp

Hi All! I have been working on closing deals with some customers and the question of social proof or credibility always comes up at the end. "Who uses you?" "Who are you funded by?" Based on feedback from here and elsewhere I have revamped the landing page to help answer these questions.

What do you think?

Yes. Thank you for pointing that out!

Hey this is pretty interesting! For me having the three reviews in different languages don't help. I think they might actually hurt. I think those would be great if you are internationalizing and you know the user has their browser in Japanese, or Spanish, or German.

I know it's hard too because I'm assuming you're just starting out, but the reviews do sound a lot more like they're talking about your idea and haven't actually used the product and seen positive impact. I think that's going to be the hurdle here. Since it's so different, companies want to know if it's just a gimmick or if it will actually improving their remote workforce. I don't know if there's an answer to that yet, and I'm not convinced those reviews answer that question either.

It's the whole chicken and the egg problem. You gotta get companies to use it before you can get real good reviews and validation, but it's hard to get those companies without the validation. I don't know that I have a good solution, but at least wanted to bring it up.

As far as the concept itself, it's really interesting! I'm kinda in the same boat as those other companies, though. I wonder, does it actually help? My first gut reaction was, is it more for me to do? I'm a remote dev and in slack all day long. My #1 goal in life is to silent slack. I want it to get out of my way. I mute things and turn off notifications all day long. If I want to talk to someone, I DM them. I don't know that it's a big pain for me to know if someone is nearby or not. Usually I'm ok on waiting for them to reply even if that is a couple hours later. I just assume they're busy or at lunch or something. Is this a Slack replacement? That's a tall order I think. Slack does a lot and is heavily embedded into company culture. I'm not saying you can't displace them, but I'm wondering if there's some way to use both well? Can they compliment each other? Nothing is coming immediately to mind, but maybe worth thinking about.

Is it a benefit to bring in an office into the remote work place? Or is remote better suited for a different kind of work? I don't know the answer, but I'm interested to see what you come up with!

:) So much is true in your post. Yes, those are place holder reviews for now; by real people but not clients.. I think smart people will be able to read through them in more detail. I find that it is better than having nothing though because it at least shows some 3-rd party traction!

Multi-languages: More reviews have been written about it in languages other than English. Target languages are English and Japanese. When I do sales I explain in the target language, but it has been a lot more effective to send them a native 3rd party review and explanation.

This can be a supplement or replacement for Slack. Have used Slack for over 4 years as a remote dev. I hate 'What is happening?', 'Any updates' type of posts so I want them automated in a visual way. i.e. I do not want to need to tell everyone that I have a cold: I want them to be able to see it so they leave me alone and can expect a slight reduction in productivity. 'Oh yeah, I saw he was sick last week.'

One thing that we differ on: I hate seeing green status icons, posting something and then having them respond hours later. "Sorry I was at lunch. Whats up?" - Drives me crazy. I think visually seeing status helps this one. "Ah, he is not in right now."

      Thanks for your great feedback!
