Hey Indie Hackers,
I’m a 19-year-old CS student who’s been building a tool called SOAP Notes Doctor, an AI-powered app that turns clinical audio into clean, structured SOAP notes in minutes.
I built it after noticing how much time doctors and medical students spend documenting things, and honestly, I just wanted to solve a real problem while leveling up my engineering skills.
The product is live, working, and already being tested — but here’s my challenge:
I have no idea how to market something to medical professionals.
What I’ve done so far:
Built the product
Made a simple landing page
Wrote a Medium-style launch story
Shared it quietly with a few people
Reached out to a couple of communities (not much response yet)
What I need help with:
If any of you have experience with B2B, healthcare, or even just getting your first real users, I’d love advice on:
Where can I find early adopters in the medical world?
(Reddit? LinkedIn groups? Universities? Hospitals?)
Is cold outreach to doctors even effective or am I wasting time?
Should I focus on content marketing, or product demos, or something else entirely?
Any tips for getting my first 50 active users?
How do you even build trust in a space that’s so sensitive about data and security?
I’m genuinely proud of the product — the tech works well, and I’ve put a lot into making it secure and useful — but I know that means nothing if I can’t get it in front of the right people.
Here’s the product if you want to check it out:

I’d appreciate any advice, criticism, or direction.
I’m learning everything as I go, so I’m all ears.
Thanks IH 🙏
