Launch day is the easy part; the week after is where most tiny products die. I shipped a $19 template kit for VAs this week and the only thing moving the needle is boring repetition: a landing page I control (so directories that need a badge or backlink accept the submission), one directory or niche community per day, and answering questions where the buyer already hangs out instead of announcing anywhere. Two practical notes for anyone using a launch site: point the listing at a page you own rather than just a storefront, and keep a simple log of where you posted so you can tell which source actually sends traffic. So far the directories that require a badge send the most engaged clicks, even though they are the most work.

has anyone bothered to build an ai native product launch url or an mcp? anything requiring a human attention to get noticed on a website will most certainly die. how exactly does product launch get into the surfaces of community involvement? how does it find/match people who are already interested in a product launch product?

"Totally agree, getting discovered is often harder than actually building the product. Great initiative, good luck with it!"

Directories like this live or die on whether they send traffic back to the founder after launch day, not just on launch day. The metric I'd want isn't signups or listings, it's what percentage of products still get a click 30 days after they launched, since that's the number that separates a discovery engine from a one-time spike.

Building a discovery platform is deceptively tricky because the UI has to handle so many different product types without feeling cluttered. As the database grows, keeping the filtering and search fast usually becomes the biggest technical hurdle for these kinds of directories. Are you handling the curation and product vetting manually right now, or did you build an automated pipeline to pull in the metadata?

Love the concept behind Launch Nest! As someone currently building DealClose. co—a tool that helps service businesses create, send, and manage professional quotes and proposals, the "discovery" pain point is something I think about constantly.

Like a few others have mentioned in the thread, the biggest hurdle with existing launch platforms is the 24-hour traffic spike followed by total silence. If you can figure out how to sustain long-term visibility and actually bring in end-users, rather than just creating an echo chamber of other builders, this will be a massive game-changer for the community.

Congrats on shipping this, M.asif. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on how the platform evolves and keeping it in mind for my own launch!

Just checked out Launch Nest — like the idea of a lighter-weight

alternative to Product Hunt's launch-day pressure, where visibility

doesn't just spike for 24 hours and disappear.

Question: how are you handling discoverability once a product's launch

day has passed? That's usually where these platforms lose me as a

founder — the traffic/backlink value is great on day one, but does

Launch Nest keep surfacing older listings, or is it mostly a

    launch-day spotlight like everything else?

Following to see how this develops.

That’s a fair question, and honestly the “launch-day spike then disappear” problem is exactly what I don’t want Launch Nest to become.

The indie focus is part of it, but I agree that alone isn’t enough to make it meaningfully different from Product Hunt. I’m still figuring out the best way to give products ongoing visibility instead of everything depending on one launch day.

Things like resurfacing products by category, highlighting products that are still actively being developed, or giving people more ways to discover older launches could make the platform much more useful long term.

Still early, so feedback like this is really helpful. The goal is definitely to move beyond the “post and pray” model.

Discovery is often the hardest part of building a great product. Love the idea of creating a dedicated space where founders can launch, get visibility, and connect with early users.

So, where I can launch my idea to build visibility, and reach people looking for something new. what is your link

I’m pretty sure that there’s always a target customer for your platform but being discovered… That’s the real challenge. And when you’re discovered, what’s your value proposal against other competitors? Why should I join your platform and not another one?

Launching and distribution are usually the hardest parts after building a product. Many founders focus so much on the product itself but finding the right audience is a different challenge. Curious to see how Launch Nest helps with that discovery process.

I’ve built SleepMind AI, a live sleep assessment SaaS that turns a simple 10-page assessment into a personalized sleep report. I’m exploring B2B wellness, corporate programs and direct-to-consumer growth. The product is already working, and I’m now looking for founders interested in taking it much further. reach me at: trajendra380@ gmail .com

This is an actual issue that you are trying to address, the only thing is that on such platforms only people who are building something exists, no actual audience and that is the main problem. This is what you should try to solve, get real audience interested on your platform.

      Yeah hard to disagree 😅

The discovery problem is real; most launch platforms turn into a graveyard of products that got a spike on launch day and nothing after.

What makes Launch Nest different from Product Hunt beyond the indie focus? Curious whether there's any mechanism for ongoing visibility after the initial launch, or if it's still the same "post and pray" model with a different audience.

For anyone building in the AI tools or design space, just launched AI Vectorizer Tools, free plan available for vectorizing images, background removal, upscaling, and SVG conversion if anyone wants to check it out.
