After 25 years in my own startups, I've now fully launched l2o™, a private founders' group and Slack community, to give back by supporting founders of newly launched saas/b2b-style tech startups.
It's been many months in the making and had several pivots to get to its final mooring. So today is a massive day for me and a new chapter in my entrepreneurial journey. Wish me luck ;-)
I know from experience the crazy levels of effort needed to get a digital startup planned, built and launched, ready for growth and possible investment. But for those who have just launched, the hard work has only just begun.
As a startup veteran, I understand what new founders are going through. So, as part of the community, I will support them full-time, guiding their growth, development, research, investment, contacts, finding speakers, setting up office hours, arranging investor intros and a lot lot more.
It's a paid-for group which I believe sets the community apart. Rather than led by advertisers or sponsors, I feel a tiny membership fee to get a slice of a startup expert working full-time every day on behalf of the community is worth every penny.
Unlike groups with thousands of anonymous members that are often a distraction and offer no genuine co-operation, there will be no un-answered questions or posts in l2o!
I am also creating a daily list of newly launched tech startups to watch available on the website and in a free newsletter subscription.
It's a slightly different model to the typical group/forum/accelerator/studio, but I am excited and can't wait to give back to other founders!
The world of support groups, forums and communities is shifting, so I hope to feedback in public to Indie Hackers on my progress.
Oh, and the first 25 will get a 25% discount on the initial three-month membership ;-)
Sounds good. Good luck!
Congrats & good luck!
