A few months ago I posted here my early-stage SaaS product for finding cheap flights called Manyflights. We got valuable feedback which we took into account in the second iteration of the product. Finally, last week we launched Manyflights publicly on Product Hunt.
Honestly, we had minimal expectations, especially since Product Hunt traffic usually converts less to paid users than target traffic. Nevertheless, we got really good feedback from PH users and ended the launch day in the 7th position. It's not a really good result, but we have reached optimistic sighs out of this campaign:
👤 500+ sign up users
💳 17 paying customers
💵 $387 earned
The product is fully bootstrapped. We started to build Manyflights to solve my own problem. Because finding inexpensive flights is a challenging and sometimes even exhausting process. That’s why we’ve decided to automate this process and created an assistant to help users to look for the cheapest flight fares and let you know when they are available. We are really happy about the first results and still looking for feedback and improving the product.
Thanks to all of you for your help and feedback! Looking forward to sharing with you our next achievements.
Nice early signal, 17 paying customers from a PH launch is real. Took a quick look at Manyflights and I think the biggest conversion lift is probably above the fold clarity, not more features.
A few concrete fixes I'd test:
You already have proof people will pay, so I'd bias toward making the first screen answer "what do I get, for whom, and why should I trust these alerts" faster.
If useful, I run $1 homepage teardowns for founders here: https://roastmysite.io/go.php?src=external_manual_ih_manyflights_17paying_apr25_usd_presell_hv
Thanks for sharing! Interesting.
