Launch Our First Productized Service - Measurely

This is a post that hopefully motivates some of those non-technical Indie Hackers who are looking to launch a profitable business.

Quick bit of background, I am an SEO consultant based in Australia. I’ve been interested in earning money online since I first discovered /r/juststart (a subreddit) whilst at university back in 2015.

Since then I have created a number of different income streams some failures and others what I would consider successes.

The most successful being a Print on Demand store which I sold for a low 5 figures.

Since then I have always wanted to make the transition to a SaaS after reading other Indie Hackers journeys. I wouldn’t classify myself as a non-technical person but I am nowhere near capable of creating a SaaS from the ground up.

This has always been my major friction point and I have in the past invested time in learning to code.

Since starting my journey into digital marketing I have been heavily involved in analytics and tracking of not only my own but client websites.

90% of the websites I would audit would have at least one issues with their tracking configuration. This would fundamentally end up impacting the data business owners were making decisions upon.

This is where the idea for Measurely.io was born - an outsourced conversion tracking resource for digital marketing specialists and agencies.

I decided I would steer clear of any code if possible so Measurely.io is built upon these three platforms:

  • Webflow (website and CMS)
  • Service Provider Pro (system to handle requests)
  • Stripe (Payment System)

It is still early days but we have successfully acquired our first customer so we are official profitable!

Long story short for all of the non-technical Indie Hackers, there are no-code solutions for almost everything. They may not be perfect but they will allow you to launch a MVP to test a market if you have an idea.

Lastly if there are any digital marketing specialists on Indie Hackers, we would love your feedback on Measurely.io
